Plugging my mic into all 3 microphone jacks ( 1 on the back, 1 on the front, and 1 on my keyboard ). Things I have already tried : Putting up the microphone boost option which is slightly increasing my voice, but i still needed to raise my voice and also it created a lot of static noise. I have re installed the latest drivers from the Realtek website as well as some other drivers that weren't related to sound. Next any USB headset also works perfectly fine on my new PC. Some background information : Firstly the headset is not at fault, as it still works on all my other laptops / pcs in the house. First thing i thought / was worried about is that the computer may of had a faulty mic slot but I noticed if i shouted or blew into my mic, I could just hear it. The audio to my headset worked straight away and perfectly as usual but I could not hear my mic through Skype or windows. I then wanted to test out my headset which is a Razer Kraken Pro (Pin head). Everything worked perfectly fine when I turned it on / updated drivers for the first time. I recently just got a new PC that is Windows 7 (Home 64 bit) and uses Realtek HD audio.
